Five Minute Speech Coach Episode 3: Anchor

Hello, The new normal is a trip, man. So many more Zoom calls in this brave new world.   In some ways, it makes sense to launch this episode of 5 Minute Speech Coach in this part of our pandemic future, because it's hard to set, maintain, and focus on goals in a crisis like this, whether you're on the front lines in grocery stories or just like... wait... what am I doing on day 8 of isolation?   Listen to the Third Episode, about Goals, Here.   As we get in deeper, to pandemic life, here is some more unsolicited #remoteworkhellscape advice:  I worked from home for five years. It sucked. But this time around I'm realizing that so many variables that affect working remotely are in my locus of control.  Example: using one device for video calls/no other tab.   Another: treating all meetings like 'real' meetings -- agendas, shared group rules, + buffer time btwn changed it all  Another: just doing what action movie tech bros do.    Finally, this I talked with some Documenters at City Bureau about sci fi,oral history, and the future (there are the notes).   I hope some of this is helpful to you -- but more importantly, I hope you're safe and stable.
