Katie Sin talks about music in 2050 🎧

Working 2050 is a speculative fiction oral history project. Listen to the last episode.

“You don’t have to be the best person to play. You just have to play.”     Listen to Katie Sin talk about music in 2050.

Wait... what is Working 2050?

Googling “the future of work” brings up a very specific type of business article. It’s not a very happy article. It asks questions like:

Will robots take all of the jobs?

Is this the end or the beginning of the ‘gig’ economy?

In 2050, if humanity survives that long, will we even have jobs at all?   Working 2050, a speculative fiction oral history project about workers of the future.

This month I’m trying something a little different, since I'm making up for not sharing any audio in January.  Instead of a speculative interview with a worker of the future, this is a nonfiction interview from 2020 about what people who work (whatever that means to them) think the future of work will be like, and how it relates to their day to day right now.  Katie In is a songwriter, musician, and producer in Iowa. She writes and performs with her band Pink Neighbor, and her solo project, Katie Sin.
