The Reasons I Don’t Like That Person (In Order)

They like X, which is problematic.  When they said X, it reminded me of Z, which is problematic.

When they said X, they might have actually talking about Y, which is problematic.  We have the same haircut.   They asked me if I had read a book that I had indeed read and enjoyed.  They mentioned a book to me I read and enjoyed, without asking me if I had read or enjoyed it.  We have the same haircut but it looks better on me.  Once I decided on a unresolved personal conflict to project onto them, they disclosed something that made it impossible for me to do so.  They didn’t laugh at my joke (a good one).   We have the same haircut but it looks better on them.  They didn’t laugh at my joke (a bad one).   We have not had similar experiences.  They said something problematic that I have said before, and they were gently corrected for it.   They said something problematic that I have said before, and were NOT gently corrected for it.   They believe strongly in something that I no longer believe in.  They don’t think I’m cool.  They remind me of someone I used to be, someone I thought I had to kill in order to survive.  They think I’m cool.  They make me question an ironclad moral rule I use to navigate the world.  They prove that you do not have to be perfect to be loved.   They prove that you can be happy no matter what anybody thinks of you.  ...I just don’t like them, okay?
